The UAE passport has been ranked the most powerful in the world by the Nomad Capitalist Passport Index. 

With a score of 110.50, it jumped straight from 35th place last year to the top of the list. 

This is mainly due to the recent changes allowing foreigners to apply for dual citizenship, as well as the country’s business-friendly environment and tax system. 

The index evaluates a passport’s strength based on five factors, including visa-free travel, international taxation laws, global perception, dual citizenship, and personal freedom. 

The UAE has a Travel score of 181. The UAE passport holders from the United Arab Emirates can travel to 116 countries without a visa and 58 countries that allow United Arab Emirates passport holders to enter by obtaining a visa on arrival.

Last year, the UAE passport was ranked as the world’s most powerful travel document.in the Passport Index issued by Montreal-based citizenship financial advisory firm Arton Capital.
