In keeping with the United Arab Emirates’ pursuit of clean electricity, and its plan to tackle climate change, it has signed an agreement with France for research and development in nuclear energy.

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) signed an initial agreement with France’s electric company EDF in this regard. Under the deal, the pair will share global expertise and the latest advancements in the nuclear energy sector. They will also explore the product of green hydrogen-powered by carbon-free nuclear energy. The French-owned entity operates the largest nuclear fleet worldwide, playing a key role in the global energy transition by exporting its expertise in low-carbon energies.
