Gulf Cooperation Council countries on Tuesday reviewed cybersecurity policies including the guidebook for standards and policies on cybersecurity in a virtual meeting of the 7th session of the Standing Committee on Cybersecurity chaired by Saudi Arabia. 

The meeting discussed working papers on global best practices on a number of issues related to the work of the committee. The members resolved to increase the cooperation on cybersecurity among the GCC countries. They also sought to apply modern best practices and ways to protect and address challenges in the field.

Saudi Arabia was represented by its National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), competent authority for cybersecurity in the Kingdom.

The Authority  represents the Kingdom in relevant bilateral, regional and international organizations, bodies, committees and groups, and follows up on the implementation of the Kingdom’s international commitments on cybersecurity.
