Bahrain foreign minister, Turkish counterpart discuss ties

Bahrain Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani held  talks on Sunday with  his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Turkish side included the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bahrain Esin Çakıl. 

Dr. Al Zayani welcomed his Turkish counterpart, praising the friendly relations between the two countries, which are based on mutual respect and cooperation.

He expressed Bahrain’s desire to enhance joint cooperation across all fields, stressing the importance of bolstering bilateral ties with regard to political and security challenges facing the Middle East.

He highlighted the need to maintain security, stability, and peace in the region.  

Çavuşoğlu hailed the friendly relations between the two countries, stressing the keenness of Turkey to improve relations and cooperation. 

The two sides discussed ways to enhance and develop cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, cultural and tourism fields.

They discussed political developments and challenges in the region, as well as regional wars and conflicts that threaten the region’s stability and security, stressing the importance of activating cooperation and enhancing cooperation across all vital fields.
