Manama, Bahrain — Bapco Energies BSC (Closed), Bahrain’s integrated energy company, announced force majeure on its group operations on Monday.
The company said the move follows the ongoing regional conflict in the Middle East and a recent attack on its refinery complex.
Bapco Energies said all local market needs remain fully secured through proactive plans to ensure the continuity of supplies and meet domestic demand without disruption.
The company added that it values its relationships with stakeholders and will continue communicating the latest available information.
The declaration comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, where ongoing conflict has disrupted energy infrastructure, shipping routes and security conditions in several areas of the region.
Energy facilities have increasingly become targets during periods of geopolitical escalation, raising concerns about supply chains and refinery operations across Gulf energy producers.
Regional governments and energy companies have implemented contingency plans to secure domestic fuel supply and protect critical infrastructure during the conflict.
