Emirati, regional leaders wish new UAE VP, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, deputy rulers success in their roles

ABU DHABI, UAE – The regional leadership has hailed the naming of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan as vice-president of the UAE and the appointment of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

The decision of the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to name Tahnoun bin Zayed, who is the UAE’s national security adviser and chairman of the ADQ sovereign wealth fund, as deputy ruler of Abu Dhabi along with Hazza bin Zayed also drew praises.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, had also issued an Emiri decree restructuring the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed.

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was the first among regional leaders to congratulate the UAE President on the move.

The UAE president had also received calls from Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Egyptian President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi, Syria’s President Bashar Al Assad, and Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani. He also received cable of congratulations from Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister.

The Arab leaders wished the newly appointed officials success in serving the people of the UAE towards further progress and prosperity. They also reiterated the deep historical ties that unite their respective countries with the UAE.

The UAE leaders meanwhile, also appreciated the latest decisions of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and congratulated the new appointees while wishing them success in performing their duties and supporting the efforts of the Union to consolidate its pillars and achieve the aspirations of its leadership and people.

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, sent his compliments to all the new appointees and wished them success in leading the UAE to advanced positions in all fields and further prosperity.

On the occasion, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, said, ” The journey of giving and achievement in our dear country and Abu Dhabi continues with greater will and determination, thanks to the directives and leadership of my brother, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and today it is gaining renewed momentum and a strong impetus.”

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, also wished success to the new appointees in performing his duties and supporting the efforts of the Union to consolidate its pillars and achieve the aspirations of its leadership and people.

Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, expressed his sincere congratulations to the new officeholders for winning the confidence of the President, wishing them success in supporting his efforts in achieving more progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, expressed his sincere congratulations to the new position-holders and wished them success in performing their duties.
