Jordan king Abdullah on Sunday held a trilateral meeting with Egypt President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Sharm El Sheikh.

The three leader discussed the deep-rooted ties between the three countries and maintaining coordination on issues of mutual concern.

The leaders underscored the need to expand trilateral cooperation across all sectors and to fulfil the aspirations of their peoples and enhance regional security and stability.

The leaders stressed the need to support the Palestinians as they seek their just and legitimate rights, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of a two-state solution.

The leaders also welcomed the upcoming summit being hosted by Saudi Arabia in July which will bring together the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council members states, and the leaders of Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, and the United States.
