New York, United States – Secretary General of Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Ibrahim Taha met here on Monday with the US Ambassador-at-large for International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain on the sidelines of the 77th general assembly of the United Nations in New York.

The two discussed ties between OIC and the United States in view of the strategic dialogue meetings which took place in Washington last May were reviewed.

The meeting also exchanged viewpoints regarding the situations of Muslim societies and minorities in non-OIC countries and the phenomenon of Islamphobia and religious freedom.
