Saudi Arabia and Norway on Sunday, February 6, discussed bilateral relations and facets of joint cooperation, official sources have said.
The discussion took place in Riyadh between the Saudi-Norwegian Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council, headed by its Chairman and Shura Council member Hazza bin Bakr Al-Qahtani, and Ambassador of Norway to Saudi Arabia, Thomas Lid Ball.
In the meeting, Al-Qahtani is said to have stressed the importance of intensifying work to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two kingdoms in various fields, especially parliamentary fields.
He also highlighted the need to enhance the role played by the joint parliamentary friendship committees between the Shura Council and the Norwegian Parliament.
For his part, the Ball stressed the importance of strengthening the joint parliamentary work between the two countries.
He also highlighted the significance of exchanging experiences between both nations in a way that contributes to expanding horizons of cooperation and achieving common interests in various fields.
He valued the relief and humanitarian efforts and projects carried out by the Saudi Arabia in Yemen.
During the meeting, the two countries also reviewed their relations in various fields.
Al-Qahtani and Ball also discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially at the level of parliamentary relations that bring together the Shura Council and the Norwegian Parliament.
