The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in various fields of protecting, preserving and avoiding the pollution of environment, in a way that meets the needs of current and future generations until reaching sustainable development in both countries.

The MoU was co-signed by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli and Minister for Climate Change and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Malik Amin Aslam.

The memorandum aims at boosting joint action in the fields of developing green cover, combating desertification, planting trees, protecting the environment, preserving natural resources and biodiversity at coastal and sea areas and nature reserves, combating pollution and negative impacts of human activities on the environment and natural resources and the quality of air.
