The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has approved a draft Emiri decree on organizing the Sharjah Classic Cars Club, and a draft Emiri Decree on organizing the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, local media reports said.

The aim of the decrees is to develop the legislative structure of the sports sector and keep pace with the development witnessed by various sports in the Emirate of Sharjah, the reports said.

The decrees were approved at a weekly meeting that discussed developing projects in all vital sectors aimed to provide decent living conditions for residents of Sharjah.

The weekly meeting was held on Tuesday morning at the Ruler’s office, chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The Council also approved the mechanism for controlling organic agricultural products and pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits in the emirate, aiming to enhance the safety of agricultural products according to the best specifications.

It also involves enhancing awareness among farmers, and reducing erroneous practices that would harm public health and reduce the quality of organic farming products, local media reports said.
