Abu Dhabi, UAE— The UAE and Russia have held talks to enhance the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

In this connection, a remote meeting was held between Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), and Grigory Karasin, member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The meeting addressed the role of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting efforts to promote security and peace in the region and the entire world and highlighted the importance of coordination and consultation while participating in international parliamentary events.

The meeting also discussed the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum, which will be held in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia, from 10th to 11th July, 2024.

The meeting then affirmed the strong relations between the two friendly countries, which have witnessed growth and development in various areas due to the support of their leadership and governments.
