Valid PCR requires to travel through King Fahd Causeway

  • Those who have been fully vaccinated and have a valid PCR would be allowed to pass through King Fahad Causeway bridge
  • Violators caught in breach of law would be sentenced up to 10 years in jail and those provided assistance would also be charged

Bahraini authorities have urged passengers of King Fahd Causeway to follow precautions ordered by the country’s National Medical Taskforce for fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Causeway Police Directorate at the General Directorate for Border Exit Security has announced that travelers heading to the causeway bridge must provide a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result along with vaccination certificate to proves that the they are immunized with the approved vaccines in the country.

The authorities have also requested all passengers to abide by the law and show the required documents, which will be demanded before crossing the bridge.

They added that if any fraud was detected regarding the documents, it would be considered a punishable crime.

According to the official statement, anybody caught in breach of the rules would be punished with imprisonment of 10 years.

Also, strict action would be taken against those caught for providing assistance in the crime.

The directorate has stressed that the precautionary measures would protect public health and safety, and were aimed at limiting the spread of Covid-19.

It also said that awareness among the community would help the country achieve the targeted goals and ensure the success of its efforts to combat the pandemic.
