Two die from Covid-19 as UAE reports 1,539 new cases

    Dubai: The UAE Ministry of health and prevention (MoHAP) on Tuesday announced that 1,539 new patients tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours.
    The infected individuals, who brought the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 674,724, belong to various nationalities, are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care, the ministry said.
    Two deaths during this period took the total Covid-19 toll in the country to 1,929.
    During the past 24 hours, the ministry added, it conducted 296,686 additional COVID-19 tests using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
    Expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and providing the necessary treatment is the ministry’s key aim, it said.
    The ministry offered condolences to the kin of the deceased and urged the people to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
