The United Arab Emirates has seen its Gross Domestic Product shrink 6.1% in the financial year that ended in March this year. A significant portion of that could be attributed to the lockdowns necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the UAE stood at 585,039 until Sunday, with 1968 new cases reported that day alone.

The country has so far seen 1,702 deaths due to this disease, with three of those occurring on Sunday alone.

The total number of vaccination doses provided to UAE residents till Sunday stood at 13,347,300, with a rate of vaccine distribution of 134.95 doses per 100 people, said local reports.

Meanwhile, the SEHA statement said the Covid-19 Prime Assessment Center in Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi and the Purple Zone in Al Ain Convention Center provide screening, assessment, and follow-up services for contacts and travelers.

Meanwhile, all services for Covid-19-positive patients are available in the Outpatient Clinics building in Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi and in the Red Zone in Al Ain Convention Center.
