QGIRCO posts Q3 net profit of US$1.1m

DOHA, QATAR – Profit of Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company (QGIRCO) declined in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

QGIRCO posted a third quarter profit of US$1.1 million (QR 40,72,000) compared to a net profit of $21 million (QR 79,487,000) for the same period last year.

The company’s data, which was published on Qatar Stock Exchange website, indicated that the earnings per share amounted to $.01 (QR 0.046) in the third quarter of this year, compared to the earnings per share of $.02 (QR 0.091) for the same period last year.

QGIRCO was established in 1979, and its capital is about $24 million (QR 87,567,000).
