Dubai, UAE – UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) will now have access to specialized educational courses and workshops of Coursera, one of the world’s top online learning platforms.

MoHAP signed an agreement with Coursera, as part of an integrated educational and training plan aimed at empowering its employees with future skills to support the digital transformation process.

This is a step towards UAE’s vision to provide employees with necessary tools to stay competitive and innovative in today’s rapidly evolving job market, WAM reported.

Ahmed Ali Al Dashti, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Support Services Sector, and Zac Rule, Vice President of Coursera, signed the agreement in Dubai.

The agreement sets a training plan that prioritizes the development of employees’ capabilities in leadership, technical, and behavioral skills, with the aim of improving their efficiency, quality, and professionalism in alignment with the ministry’s plans and strategies.

This will offer them the opportunity to earn certificates that are recognized and accredited by these institutions.

The agreement also provides for the creation of a cohesive relationship between the ministry’s strategic priorities and training needs, as well as offering training programs that improve the personal abilities and skills of employees. This, in turn, contributes to increasing job satisfaction within the ministry.

Al Dashti stated that MoHAP’s partnership with Coursera reflects its commitment to improving the capabilities of its employees and providing them with the necessary skills for the future.
