Eid holidays in Abu Dhabi: ITC won’t charge for Darb or parking

    • People urged not to park vehicles in prohibited areas

    The toll gate system or Darb in Abu Dhabi will not charge anything during Eid al Adha holidays beginning 19 July and the charges will resume on 24 July during usual peak hours—7am-9am and 5pm to 7pm—said the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC).

    ITC’s surface public spaces will be free of charge during the holidays. The schedules for the working hours of Customer’s Happiness Centers, bus and ferry services were also announced.

    Customer’s Happiness Centres will be closed during the holiday period but they can continue to apply for its services online at www.itc.gov.ae, Darbi and Darb apps or contact the Call Centre at 80088888 or Taxi Call Centre at 600535353 around the clock.

    MAWAQiF Service Surface parking spaces and Mussafah Industrial area parking lot M18 will be free of charge during the holidays.

    ITC has called upon the public not to park their vehicles in prohibited areas and not to block the traffic flow. ITC also urged the public to adhere to the regulations regarding the resident permit parking bays from 9pm to 8am.

    The ITC will operate additional 100 trips on main routes to meet the public demand and avoid bus overcrowding. Public bus users have been requested to follow the precautionary measures and use Darbi app to check trips timings and avoid waiting in the bus shelters.

    Public bus services timings in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will follow Friday and official holidays schedule.

    Also, ferry services will continue to operate between Dalma Island and Jebel Al Dhanna port, and between Saadiyat and Al Aliah Islands during the holidays.
