Qatar to disburse cash assistance to families in Gaza Strip

Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi announced cash assistance to needy families in the Gaza Strip.

It is the disbursement of the March batch of cash assistance to Gaza families, which will begin Wednesday.

Qatar Fund for Development will also cooperate with Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee in the process.

Al Emadi said that cash assistance will be provided to about 100,000 needy families in the Gaza Strip governorates, at a rate of $100 per family.

Reportedly, the distribution process will take place through the United Nations distribution centers that it identified in the governorates of the Gaza Strip.

Also, the total number of such UN distribution centers is more than 300.

The State of Qatar disburses a monthly humanitarian grant in the Gaza Strip.

It is in support of the brotherly Palestinian families suffering from the difficult economic and living conditions caused by the Israeli blockade.
