Tasnee’s 2025 losses deepen

Dubai, UAE — Saudi Arabia’s National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee) widened its net loss to SAR 1.76 billion in 2025, compared with a loss of SAR 27.9 million in 2024, according to data reported by Argaam.

The petrochemicals and industrial investment company also saw revenues fall 17.7 percent year-on-year to SAR 2.49 billion, down from SAR 3.02 billion in the previous year, reflecting weaker operating performance.

Despite the revenue decline, gross income edged up slightly to SAR 85.4 million, compared with SAR 84.5 million a year earlier. However, the company’s operating performance deteriorated significantly. Operating losses widened to SAR 3.36 billion, from SAR 321 million in 2024.

The sharp deterioration pushed earnings per share (EPS) to a loss of SAR 2.64, compared with a loss of SAR 0.04 a year earlier, based on an average share count of 668.9 million.

Quarterly results also showed a steep decline. In the fourth quarter of 2025, Tasnee reported a net loss of SAR 2.04 billion, compared with a loss of SAR 97.7 million in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter swung to negative SAR 42.5 million, compared with positive revenue of SAR 226.4 million in Q4 2024, highlighting the scale of the downturn.

Gross losses deepened to SAR 153.2 million, while operating losses widened to SAR 2.50 billion during the quarter.

Earnings per share for the quarter dropped to a loss of SAR 3.04, compared with a loss of SAR 0.15 in the corresponding quarter last year.

Tasnee is one of Saudi Arabia’s major industrial and petrochemical investment companies, with operations spanning chemicals, metals and downstream manufacturing sectors.
