International Justice Conference begins in Saudi Arabia

  • Over 4,000 persons and 50 international speakers took part in the justice conference in Saudi Arabia.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi  Justice Minister Dr. Walid Al-Samaani inaugurated the International Conference on Justice here on Sunday.

Several ministers, thought leaders and legal experts from around the world were present at the event.

Over 4,000 persons and 50 international speakers took part in the justice conference.  

Al-Samaani, with the participation of ministers of several countries, also inaugurated the Judicial Technology Exhibition, which showcases the latest ICT and AI technology relevant to the legal sector.

The exhibition include sections such as preventive justice, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), judiciary and enforcement.

Al-Samaani said, “I would like to thank you for attending this conference, which aims to build judicial partnerships and enable sharing of expertise to enhance justice enablers worldwide and I look forward to fruitful outcomes for the sector around the world.”

He said, “We need to keep pace with global developments and use the opportunity for progress, especially in terms of the technologies enhancing safeguards.”

The conference aims to facilitate access to justice through digital innovation, explore the future of judicial technology, and enrich legal culture.

Al-Samaani said, “Under Vision 2030 led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, the country has engaged in the development of all sectors, including the justice sector.”

He said, “The leadership has supported digital innovations and developmental initiatives that promote the values of justice and transparency.”

Through this event, the Saudi justice sector seeks to engage with global experiences and the employment of innovations that serve justice and streamline procedures.  

The conference will discuss the future of justice in light of digital transformation, international digitization experiences, the legal dimension of artificial intelligence (AI).

It will also discuss the use of AI, data analytics to enhance justice and the future of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in light of digital transformation.
