This year’s World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting held in the Swiss resort of Davos was an intense and inspiring event that brought together prominent leaders from government, business, and social institutions.
The discussions and insights shared during the event provided a unique opportunity to address global challenges and identify innovative solutions.
Compared to the previous WEF Annual Meeting held last May, the atmosphere at this year’s event was markedly different.
During the 2022 Davos meeting, the world was experiencing a recession, the Russia-Ukraine War had just begun, supply chains were under threat, and “de-globalization” was a recurring topic. In such conditions, conversations about sustainability and financial support for environmental issues appeared insincere.
