Davos, Switzerland — The annual meeting of World Economic Forum in January played host to the largest assembly of world leaders, numbering in thousands, to deliberate on “cooperation in a fragmented world”. 

The World Economic Forum meeting are typically held in January, but was postponed in 2022 due to COVID-related restrictions and instead took place in May 2022. 

The 2023 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum took place in Davos, Switzerland from 16-20 January under the motto “Cooperation in a fragmented world”. The 2021 meeting was conducted online. 

Despite the ongoing pandemic and continuing restrictions, the meeting in Davos garnered heightened interest due to the conflict in Ukraine, and the economic repercussions of geopolitical and health crises.
