Saudia raises seat capacity by 10%

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA –  State-owned Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) announced that 7.4 million seats would be allocated to domestic and international flights in July and August.

This would be a 10 percent increase in the number of seats on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the airlines said in a statement.

Saudi Arabian Airlines said that more than 4.2 million seats would be added to international flights.

This would be a 16 percent rise in the number of seats in international flights. The number of international flights would also rise 15 percent to 14,800 flights, the statement said.

The national carrier offered over 3.2 million seats for domestic flights through 17,600 flights.
