Dubai, UAE — Gulf Cooperation Council economies are the most competitive in the Middle East region, according to the latest IMD World Competitiveness Ranking.

The ranking published by the Swiss-based International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and ranks 64 economies based on their ability to create and sustain value for its citizens and enterprises. The ranking is based on a combination of hard data and survey data from business executives.

The IMD World Competitiveness Ranking is considered to be one of the most prestigious and respected competitiveness rankings in the world. It is widely used by businesses, governments, and academics to assess the competitiveness of economies.
