Estonian delegation presented a workshop aimed at consolidating frameworks of the joint cooperation
Saudi Arabia and Estonia recently discussed ways to enhance digital cooperation, exchange experiences in the field of the digital government, and support the growth of the digital economy, said local reports on Sunday, June 20.
The two countries have had business relations for quite some time, with Estonian exports to Saudi Arabia reportedly totaling $80.44 million in 2020.
The discussions reportedly took place between Saudi Communications and Information Technology Minister Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha and a visiting Estonian delegation that included senior officials and representatives of major Estonian companies.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to benefit from investment opportunities in the communications and information technology sector and emerging technologies, provide facilities for the Estonian companies to invest in the promising Saudi market, and motivate entrepreneurship between the two countries.
Following the meeting, the Estonian delegation presented a workshop attended by a number of the ministry officials and representatives of the communications and information technology system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at consolidating frameworks of the joint cooperation, strengthening the partnerships in the fields of technology, exchanging the expertise and experiences, and exploring the opportunities.
