At least 45 farmers are showcasing their olive oil brands at the ongoing olive products exhibition in Sakaka in Saudi Arabia, said local reports on Friday, June 11.
The exhibition is part of the 14th edition of the Al-Jouf International Olive Festival. The olive oil being showcased has been manufactured from the more than 18 million olive trees in the Al-Jouf region of the country, said the reports.
The global size of the olive oil market is forecast to reach $4.79 billion by 2025, rising at a compounded annual growth rate of 2.93% between 2020 and 2025, analysts have said.
The farmers at the aforementioned exhibition were quoted by the local reports as saying that the annual fair has achieved great success over the past 13 years and has turned into an economic and agricultural icon attracting large numbers of visitors from Al-Jouf and other regions, which enable them to sell their olive-oil products.
They also cited the contribution of the Al-Jouf Governor’s Award for the best olive oil product in creating competition among farmers and thus upgrading the quality of the products.
