  • Official report attributes investment growth to supportive legislation, urban development and expanding portfolio of quality real estate projects.

Dubai, UAE — UAE investors accounted for more than half of Sharjah’s real estate trading value in the first half of 2026, investing AED14.9 billion and representing 50.6 percent of the emirate’s total property transactions by value, according to official data released on Monday.

A statistical report by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department showed UAE investors owned 22,599 properties during the period through investments by 9,655 investors. Total real estate trading value reached AED29.5 billion.

The department said the performance reflected continued confidence in Sharjah’s investment environment, supported by legislation, urban development and new real estate projects.

The report also highlighted growing participation by women in the property market.

Women accounted for 28 percent of traded properties and 24.7 percent of the total value of sales transactions, while men represented 72 percent of traded properties and 75.3 percent of transaction values.

Among investors aged 35 and under, women accounted for 34.5 percent of traded properties and 43 percent of ownership, indicating increasing participation by younger female investors.

Director-General Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi said the figures reflected the strength of Sharjah’s real estate market and the success of the emirate’s development strategy.

He said the report highlighted the increasing role of UAE investors, particularly young people and women, reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a destination for sustainable real estate investment.
