Umrah permits for double-jabbed Saudis aged 12-18

  • Hajj and Umrah ministry’s announcement follows the inauguration of 2021 Umrah season.
  • Permits must be obtained through the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna apps.

Saudi nationals aged 12-18 can obtain Umrah permits if they have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, the ministry of Hajj and Umrah has said.

Local media reports said the ministry’s announcement follows the inauguration of the 2021 Umrah season on Aug.10.

More than 13,000 permits, which allow pilgrims to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque, have been issued for this age group.

Reports citing Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdul-Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat said Umrah permits are issued through the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications, with an integrated system of services and preventive measures ensuring the safety and health of those wishing to perform Umrah.

The ministry worked with other authorities before this year’s Umrah season to establish executive mechanisms and create a safe environment for pilgrims, the reports added.

Umrah permits must be obtained through the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications, the minister added.
