Pact signed for setting up incubator to support SMEs in Oman

Oman’s Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Asmed) and Oman Drydock Company have signed a pact for setting up an incubator to support SMEs.
  • The incubator will be specialized in the logistics sector, supply chains, and services affiliated with the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.
  • A pact was signed between Oman’s Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Asmed) and Oman Drydock Company in this regard.

DUBAI: An incubator to support Small and Medium Enterprises in Oman will be established by Oman’s Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Asmed) in collaboration with Oman Drydock Company.

The incubator will be specialized in the logistics sector, supply chains, and services affiliated with the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (Opaz), local media reports said.

Oman Drydock Company is the executive arm of drydock services in Asyad Group.

The media reports said the agreement is geared towards empowering entrepreneurs and boosting their role in developing activities in special economic zones and free zones.

To achieve this, technical and administrative support will be provided to incubated enterprises.
