5000 volunteers will participate in FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) announced that 5,000 volunteers will participate in the 10th edition FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, according to local reports.
SC’s Volunteer Strategy Manager Nasser Al Mogaiseeb said that 5,000 volunteers, including 350 from outside Qatar, were selected following set standards
Al Mogaiseeb said the volunteers would be trained through advanced scientific programs in the process of dealing and communicating with the public.
He said the administration had organized an Arabic language training program for non-native speakers in cooperation with the Tomoh for Community Development, and a workshop was held on the basics of spoken Arabic.
The volunteers will provide support in operational aspects of the tournament such as hospitality, welcoming and guiding fans to their seats, information and media services, tickets and protocol.
Al Mogaiseeb revealed the launch of the “Haihum” initiative for the first time, which targets many Qatari volunteers who do not speak English.
Among the volunteers are the elderly and people with special needs, who are participants in the volunteering process and also a part of the preparation and training phase.
