SEWA implements development projects worth over $14.78m

The Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) implemented a number of development projects during 2021 worth more than $14.78 million, local media reports said.

A total of 80 projects have been implemented for network modifications and approximately 50 transformers are installed in the central region.

Cables have been extended to implement these projects with up to 197,624 km of length, and the total cost of the projects implemented in the central region during 2021 exceeded the amount of AED 54.305 million ($14.78 million).

Director of the Central Region Department Khalifa Mohammed Al Tunaiji explained that the development projects implemented by SEWA contributed to upgrading services and achieving stability of networks as there were no reports of electricity outages in residential and governmental areas.

Al Tunaiji pointed out that the Central Region Department of SEWA is constantly striving to use all available modern technologies in implementing work and facilitating procedures to achieve customer satisfaction in Al Bataeh.

He added that the SEWA continues to implement development projects for networks and distribution stations in the cities of the central regions.
