The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Wednesday held a meeting with the Egyptian ambassador in Amman Mohammad Sameer to further economic cooperation between Jordan and Egypt.

The ACC said the meeting discussed reducing obstacles facing the two-way flow of imports into the countries and enhancing trade and economic relations.

The meeting discussed eliminating impediments to exports and the need to leverage the opportunities the two counties have to offer, as well as spurring the private sector in both countries to engage in partnerships.

Tawfiq, the president of the Amman Chamber, reiterated that  Jordan-Egypt were a model of good relations between Arab states.

Tawfiq highlighted the importance of increasing the volume of trade between the two countries and holding more expos and conferences, as well as reducing impediments to exporting.

Sameer said that his country is keen on improving its economic cooperation with Jordan on all levels, as well as increasing the volume of the two-way trade and encouraging the private sector to establish more projects and investments.
