Jusoor Foundation launches four development projects in Oman

Oman’s Jusoor Foundation launched four projects implemented within its social investment program in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.

The projects are worth RO 345,000 ($0.9 million) and were funded jointly by OQ and Sohar Aluminium, local media reported.

The ceremony was held in Al Qurm Natural Park in Shinas and was attended by Sheikh Saif Hamiyar Al Malik Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah.

The first project was the development of the 28,000-square meter Al Qurm Natural Park in the Wilayat of Shinas with a total cost of RO 200,000($5,20,000)

It is funded by Sohar Aluminium and OQ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior.

The development included the construction of a 3 km walkway, an arena theatre, a migratory bird viewing platform, 11 family rest areas and barbecue sites.

It also covers the construction of a crossing bridge over the waterway, children’s games, green fields and a cafe.

Furthermore, the project includes the establishment of a park gate, mosque, security booth, toilets and parking lot.

The second project was the construction of a park in the mountainous area of Al Hayleen in the Wilayat of A’Suwaiq on an area of 2,000 square metres.

Reportedly, it is surrounded by a 320-meter walkway.

The park is equipped with children rides, as well as a cafe, toilets and family rest areas, to the tune of RO 55,000 ($1,43,000) funded by Sohar Aluminium.

The third project was to provide equipment to clean beaches in the wilayats of the Governorate.

This project, with a total cost of RO 40,000 ($1,04,000) was funded by OQ.

Sheikh Saif Hamiyar Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah, said, “These projects fall within the program of social projects implemented by Jusoor Foundation that contributes to cultural development.”
