Saudi Arabia celebrated the anniversary of its founding day about three centuries ago.

The anniversary of Saudi Arabia’s founding day coincides with 22 February 1727, since the era of Imam Mohammad bin Saud, the ruler of Diriyah.

Imam Mohammad bin Saud made Diriyah the capital of the Saudi state, as it was the center of development, science, archaeological monuments and civilization.

Since the founding day, Saudi Arabia has witnessed unprecedented achievements in many various fields, becoming the strongest economy in the region and one of the best-performing nations globally.

Several world leaders congratulated the kingdom on its founding day. Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Khan wished the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity.

King Abdullah II ibn Al- Hussein, King of Jordan, congratulated the Saudi king and the Crown Prince and also prayed to Allah Almighty to return this and similar occasions while the Saudi people realize aspirations of further progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, also congratulated the Saudi king and the Crown Prince. Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, Deputy Emir of Qatar, and Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani also congratulated the Saudi king.
