Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue an opportunity to end conflict: GCC Secretary General

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf said on Sunday that the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations being hosted at the GCC Secretariat General offers the best opportunity to bring peace and stability to the war-torn country.

The consultations are scheduled between March 29 and April 7. 

 Al-Hajraf said that the dialogue represents a platform to all Yemenis to end the dispute.

The remarks were made during Al-Hajraf’s meeting at the GCC Secretariat General’s headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the UAE, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, US, UK, France, Russia and China

“The consultations aim at urging all Yemeni parties without any exclusion to accept a comprehensive ceasefire and embark on peace talks, under the auspices of the UN with the GCC support,” Al-Hajraf said.
