Dubai South signs on Discovery Land to build luxury golf community

Dubai South, the urban master development, has announced the signing of an exclusive agreement with Discovery Land to develop a golf community, local reports have said.

The US-based luxury real-estate developer is expected to build a 2-square-kilometre golf community that would include mansions, villas, an 18-hole golf course, as well as other amenities.

The agreement was signed between, Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South Executive Chairman Khalifa Al Zaffin and Discovery Land Founder and Chairman Michael Meldman.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, was present at the signing, as were senior executives from both Dubai south and Discovery Land.

Discovery Land purchased the plot of land that will be utilized for the development of the spacious luxury golf community, which will be built up to the highest standards and become among the top golf course communities in the region once completed.

Commenting on the agreement, Al Zaffin said, “The new project reiterates Dubai’s attractiveness to global investors and Dubai South’s unique ecosystem and advanced infrastructure, which caters to the needs of businesses and investors alike.”
