Al Dhafra Festival camel beauty pageant from December 14

Abu Dhabi has advanced the dates for the Madinet Zayed Camel Beauty Pageant of the Al Dhafra Festival 2021, official sources have said.

As a result, the competition will be held from December 14 to 21 in the Al Dhafra region of the emirate.

This Camel Beauty Pageant is the third round of the season.

It is being organized on directions of Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expands Al Dhafra Festival dates to include camel beauty contests in Suwayhan, Razin and Madinet Zayd, in addition to the principal Camel Beauty Competition of Al Dhafra Festival.

The first edition of the festival was organized in 2018.

It aims to preserve certain camel breeds, and to generate domestic and Gulf tourism to boost the economy.

It also aims to increase the number of camel owners who will participate in this contest, besides providing opportunities to new generations to learn about their nation’s heritage and strengthen human and social ties.

It also aims to make Abu Dhabi the preferred place for camel fairs and heritage events regionally as well as internationally.
