Expo 2020 launches official song ‘This Is Our Time’

Expo 2020 Dubai on Tuesday, September 21, launched its official song, titled This Is Our Time.

According to official sources, the song conveys the story of the expo’s theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.

The song features UAE-based artiste Hussain Al Jassmi, who is also an Expo 2020 Ambassador.

He is accompanied by Lebanese-American Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Mayssa Karaa, who is also Artistic Director of Expo’s all-female Firdaus Orchestra.

Also part of the song is 21-year-old Emirati singer-songwriter Almas, who has been named in Spotify’s Best Female Talent in the Middle East.

Joseph Dickinson is on the keyboards and guitars for the song, besides being its writer and producer.

The song has Lucy Torchia, a co-writer of the song, in the backing vocals. The Arabic lyrics have been written by Saif Fadhel.

The video, which is four minutes and 18 seconds long, has been directed by Courtney Phillips, an English-origin actor-director who has made videos for David Guetta and promotional material for Credit Suisse.
