Google has joined Bahrain and the international community in celebrating Bahrain’s national day, in commemoration of establishment of modern Bahrain Nation as a Muslim Arab Nation.
The modern state of Bahrain was founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783 and on 16 December 1971, Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa became the first emir of the country, marking the national day of Bahrain.
“Since 1971, Bahrain has undergone significant developments in its economy, healthcare and education, transforming the nation into a key financial, commercial and tourist center of the Gulf”, Google said.
The search engine marked Bahrain’s National Days with a dedicated animated Google Doodle featuring the kingdom’s red and white flag, said reports.
Traditionally, Bahrain’s historic achievements and culture are celebrated over two days with entertainment such as magic and laser shows, concerts, televised fireworks and acrobatic performances, said local sources.
The reports said that many of the country’s renowned landmarks, such as the Riffa Clock Tower, are decorated with the national flag, lights, and flowers to brighten many of its main streets.
