DUBAI — In light of today’s rapid technological transformation, professionals across all fields need to stay informed about new technologies that enhance their alignment with the latest innovations, according to Dr. Kalthoom AlBlooshi, Chief Innovation Officer and Director of the Training and Development Center at Emirates Health Services.

She made these remarks at the “Let’s Talk Innovation” Symposium, a platform for sharing knowledge, perspectives, and learning about the latest developments in the healthcare sector.

Aligned with UAE Innovation Month “UAE Innovates 2024,” Emirates Health Services (EHS) organized the symposium on the impact of innovation in healthcare, titled “Let’s Talk Innovation,” on February 8 at the Youth Center in Emirates Towers, Dubai. The event aimed to discuss the importance of innovation in the health sector.

The symposium gathered leading experts and representatives from research institutions, universities, technology companies, and medical organizations, as well as speakers from both the private and public sectors.

It offered a platform for sharing ideas and insights on innovation in healthcare and its effects on the development and improvement of service quality, patient care, and future research. The event ensured a comprehensive vision of the future of healthcare in the light of modern technological innovations was presented by showcasing all perspectives.

Dr. AlBlooshi emphasized the significant impact of technology on the healthcare sector and highlighted the symposium’s focus on critical topics such as artificial intelligence, supply chain management, and their role in driving innovation. Furthermore, the event aimed to include the perspectives of young people to ensure the participation of the next generation in decision-making about the future of the UAE healthcare sector.

The “Let’s Talk Innovation” Symposium covered several healthcare topics, including artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector: research, challenges, and the future of the sector, the development and facilitation of the healthcare innovation strategy, and innovations and future directions in health such as supply chain management, with insights from Microsoft on healthcare innovation.

Additionally, it reviewed all perspectives to develop a comprehensive vision of innovation in healthcare by featuring speakers from the private and public sectors, as well as representatives from research institutions, universities, technology companies, and medical institutions.
