Saudi Arabia’s embassy in United States participates in ‘Cat Walk’

Washington, US –  Saudi Arabia’s embassy in the United States participated in the 2nd edition of the global initiative “Cat Walk” organized by the Catmosphere organization which supports initiatives to conserve endangered wild cats.

The Saudi ambassador to the United States, and a number of senior embassy staff were present on the occasion. .

The participation included a number of embassy staff walking a distance of 7 kilometers to raise awareness and encourage the conservation of 40 species of endangered wild cats, especially the Arabian leopard, which the Kingdom has made great efforts to protect from extinction and return it to its natural environment, as part of the programs of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU).

In a press statement, the official spokesperson for the Saudi embassy in Washington, Fahd Nazer stressed the importance of conserving cats in their natural environment.
