Latest tech in focus as UAE celebrates innovations

The month-long UAE Innovates 2022 began on February 1 at Dubai Expo 2020 with 60 events scheduled to take place. In what is being described as the largest innovation festival in the world, it will seek to instill a culture of innovation and engage the community in innovative experiences.

The Expo will have an MBRCGI display at Festival Garden, where creative government experiences will be featured. In addition, private companies will also organize specific talks and workshops in several innovation spheres.

From its side, the festival, overseen by the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre of Government Innovation (MBRCGI), emphasizes future-proof technologies that contribute to better health and more vital government institutions.

Projects run by federal, state, and local governments, businesses, colleges, and community members will take center stage. In addition to conferences and workshops, hundreds of other activities will take place throughout the seven Emirates as part of the festival.

Interesting Events

To demonstrate its digital litigation project, Dubai Courts will be exhibiting the interactive and integrated innovative system that allows consumers to access all litigation services around the clock effortlessly. Additionally, the first interactive illustrated version of the Child Rights Law, “Wadeema,” which aims to assist children in better understanding their rights, will be exhibited.

An exhibition titled “Our Digital Services” is also being held by the Federal Authority for Identification and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, which showcases digital identity and citizenship services, as well as digital customs services.

AI is being utilized by the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), it will explain the data analysis tools used to help farmers at various stages in production and marketing, through their jobs to reduce food waste and improve food security.

To inspire the next generation of innovators, the UAE’s Ministry of Economy and the Emirates Youth Council are hosting an event highlighting creative ideas and the accomplishments of youth. The Fazaa Pavilion will host a Dubai Police innovation expo to display the most recent security technology.

This virtual debate on the human genome, precision medicine, and pharmacogenomics will be hosted by the Emirates Health Service (EHS) to highlight the UAE genome program’s positive impact on the healthcare industry.

HCT is putting on a workshop titled “The Entrepreneurial Mindset: The Symbol of Future Generations,” which examines several compelling, innovative stories and the strategies and instruments employed by successful entrepreneurs in the 21st century to inspire the next generation.

To assist industrial entrepreneurs in developing their abilities and expanding their knowledge in industrial design and production, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce is launching an advanced program for entrepreneurship.

Fujairah’s Future Foresight Hall will showcase 3D and AI-based innovative services events organized by Fujairah’s Human Resources Department.

The Final Prize

On the final day of MBRCGI’s month-long celebration, the UAE Innovates Award will honor local and federal government innovators who have made significant contributions to society in the past year. It also intends to foster innovation in various industries and encourage community involvement in the development of new initiatives that can improve people’s lives and strengthen the government.
