Tehran, Iran–Trade between Iran and Russia has climbed 18 percent to US$1.7 billion in the first eight months of 2023.
This was stated by the chairman of the Iranian Customs Administration Mohammad Rezvani, noting that the Iran Iran-Russia trade recorded $1.7 billion in the first eight months of this year of 1402 in the Iranian calendar (March 21-Novemebr 21, 2023), showing 18% increase compared to the same period last year. ​
According to him, “The weight of trade between Iran and Russia during that period was 3,748 million tons, showing a 43% increase compared to the same period last year.”
“During that period, $616, 326 million worth of goods were exported to Russia, which shows 32% increase compared to the same period last year,” Rezvani Far added.
According to him, the weight of goods exported to Russia during that period was 1,495,000 tons, indicating a growth of 66%.
He continued to talk about the amount of imports from Russia as a trading partner country with Iran until November 21 this year, saying that “During this period, 2,254,000 million tons of goods worth $1,14,780 were imported., indicating a 31% increase in weight and 12% increase in value.
