Dubai, UAE – L&T Construction, part of Larsen & Toubro, has secured new orders in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and India.

The company will construct a ±525kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission segment in Saudi Arabia. This forms part of a large capacity Voltage Source Converter (VSC) based HVDC system, connecting Neom Industrial City to Yanbu City in the western region of Saudi Arabia.

In India, the company won an order to implement SCADA/DMS (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition/Distribution Management System) and related IT infrastructure for urban area power distribution systems in central Gujarat. The scope of the project also includes Information Storage & Retrieval, Front End Processing, Outage Management, Network Management, Dispatcher Training Simulation, Local Data Monitoring, and necessary security systems.

The company will also construct a 400kV Double Circuit Transmission Line in Jharkhand, India. This 133 KM long transmission line is crucial for evacuating power from a generating station.

In the Sarawak region of Malaysia, L&T Construction, in collaboration with a consortium, has won an order to establish a 275kV Substation. This project aims to enhance power supply reliability in major load centers on the northwest coast of the island of Borneo.
