ALULA, SAUDI ARABIA –   The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has reinforced its commitment to technology innovation and cutting-edge digital solutions by signing two new agreements with global tech leaders Artefact and Dassault Systèmes.

Announced at the seventh annual Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, the agreements are focused on the seamless integration of the latest and emerging digital products within AlUla’s maturing technology eco-system to support its ongoing development.

RCU’s strategic and long-term partnership with Artefact, a leader in data, analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) consulting, is set to redefine AlUla’s development strategy by harnessing AI’s potential within a range of new functions and services.

The agreement will cover pivotal areas of development, from AI Consulting and Transformation to establishing a dedicated School of Data & AI, which promises to supercharge economic growth through the creation of a tech-focused ecosystem capable of providing dynamic and sustainable careers to AlUla’s growing community.

Similarly, RCU’s collaboration with Dassault Systèmes marks the next stage of the region’s most advanced 3D Digital Twin project.

Created for the sustainable design, planning and construction of city-wide developments, the Digital Twin platform marked a successful initial phase earlier this year.

RCU and Dassault Systèmes will now progress to stage 2 with a heightened emphasis on comprehensive infrastructure common data environment, business workflow and digital products.

This tech-led venture leverages the expertise of globally renowned entities and RCU development partners such as AECOM, SEA, and ATKINS with great results.

By fully adopting Dassault Systèmes’ Digital Twin platform, RCU aims to boost AlUla’s position as a global frontrunner in urban transformation, heritage conservation and tourism while also envisioning greater economic diversification.
