The UAE and Egypt have initiated discussions on enhancing bilateral space cooperation, said local reports on Thursday, September 23.

The UAE Space Agency has welcomed Sherif Mohamed Fouad Al Badawi, Ambassador of Egypt to the UAE, in this regard as they discussed several topics, said the local reports.

The meeting is said to have explored the potential for greater collaboration in all space-related fields, opportunities to strengthen ties across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics

The two sides also discussed facilitating new growth partnerships between the public and private sector.

This is meeting was reportedly an opportunity to deepen cooperation and strategic integration in the space industry and advance the transition towards innovation-driven economies.

Al Badawi and the UAE Space Agency agreed to continue to enhance strategic cooperation to build on the UAE-Egypt ties and advance shared goals that inspire a new cadre of scientists, engineers, and technologists, said the local reports.

During the meeting, the latest developments related to the Arab Space Cooperation Group were reportedly discussed.
