ABU DHABI – Cybersecurity remains crucial in securing unmanned and autonomous systems that rely on modern technologies, ensuring their sustainability, development, and safe performance, said Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cyber Security Council.

On the sidelines of the UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions, he told WAM that this international event reflects the UAE’s leading global position as a hub for unmanned systems and advanced technology.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti pointed out that the digital transformation, which relies on artificial intelligence technologies, has touched all sectors and contributes to improving the quality of life and supporting businesses.

This transformation, he noted, promotes sustainable development toward a more advanced and prosperous future.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti lauded the wide local, international, and regional participation in this event, which also includes government and academic entities.

He highlighted the presence of students and their eagerness to learn about the latest technologies. This, he said, enhances the cybersecurity culture among institutions, users, developers, and designers, especially those involved with unmanned systems.

He stated that the UAE Cyber Security Council’s participation in the exhibitions aligns with its commitment to enhance cooperation with local, regional, and international entities concerned with cybersecurity.

This participation also serves to underscore the importance of the security of unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, and the modern technologies on which they depend.

The UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions, organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defense, run until January 25th. The event provides a platform to discuss the latest developments, trends, and innovations in the UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) sector.
