A new advertisement by Emirates, the largest airline of the United Arab Emirates, has gone viral on several social-media platforms.
The 33-second ad shows what appears to be an Emirates stewardess atop the Burj Khalifa, the Emaar-built 828-meter skyscraper that is the tallest building in the world.
The woman is seen thanking the United Kingdom for removing the UAE red list and onto the amber one, essentially giving carriers based out of the Gulf country to resume flights.
Titled “We’re on top of the world,” the advertisement had already been viewed more than 1.4 million times at the time of the writing of this article.

The UAE moving to the UK’s amber list would obviously be welcome news for Emirates, which has suffered huge losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It reportedly saw a net loss of AED 20.3 billion ($ 5.5 billion) over the past year due to travel restrictions due to the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the woman seen in the clip is actually a professional skydiving instructor named Nicole Smith-Ludvik.
She has the rare distinction of having performed such jumps in all 50 states within the US.
She started this feat in 2007, and persevered through tragedies like the loss of her husband and a car accident where she sustained severe injuries, according to the voluntary non-profit United States Parachute Association.
Ludvik shared the Emirates advertisement on her Instagram page and thanked the airline for the opportunity.
She also wrote on the social-media platform: “This is, without a doubt, one of the most amazing and exciting stunts I’ve ever done.”

Even as the advertisement started going viral on social media, people started asking whether the stunt actually happened or whether this was faked.
In response, Emirates shared a one-minute video to detail the behind-the-scenes action of the shooting of the advertisement.
The video looked to explain the measures put in place to ensure that Ludvik was safe atop the Burj Khalifa.
