Dubai, UAE — UAE telecom operator du said on Monday it had completed the deployment of its National Hypercloud platform for Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), marking what it described as the country’s first full-scale migration of a transport operator’s core systems to a sovereign cloud platform.
The deployment follows a memorandum of understanding signed by the two organisations at GITEX Global 2025.
DTC’s mission-critical systems have been migrated to du Tech’s Oracle Alloy-based sovereign cloud platform, which is hosted entirely within the UAE. The platform provides computing capacity, autonomous databases and AI-ready infrastructure while supporting compliance with the country’s Cloud First policy and data sovereignty requirements.
The migration is designed to improve the performance and reliability of DTC’s operations while reducing operational complexity and costs, du said.
The platform also provides infrastructure for expanding digital mobility services and enables enhanced real-time decision-making and AI-driven analytics across the organisation.
The deployment was marked at an event attended by executives from both companies, including du Chief Executive Fahad Al Hassawi and Dubai Taxi Company Group Chief Executive Mansoor Rahma AlFalasi.
Al Hassawi said the project created a framework that could be replicated by government-linked entities and enterprises in the mobility and logistics sectors pursuing digital transformation.
AlFalasi said migrating DTC’s systems to the sovereign cloud platform would strengthen the security, resilience and scalability of its digital infrastructure while supporting the company’s smart mobility ambitions.
du said it would continue to provide technical support to optimise the platform as DTC expands its digital services.
